These Glazed Strawberries Make the Perfect Dessert Topping

Making a strawberry glaze is way easier than you think! This recipe takes less than 10 minutes and tastes amazing. I decided to include frozen strawberries in this recipe because they have a really concentrated flavor, making the glaze even more delicious. This also means the strawberry flavor is undeniable - no artificial strawberry flavoring is needed here!

I tested this recipe multiple times and found that adding a little vanilla extract really enhances the overall taste. But it's completely optional if you prefer a pure strawberry flavor. I love pouring the glaze over baked goods for that bakery-style finish, and it's also delicious over ice cream or mixed into yogurt.

Why You'll love this Strawberry Glaze Recipe

    • Serious strawberry flavor. This glaze is perfectly sweet and packed with real strawberry flavor.
    • Simple to make. You only need a stovetop and a few basic ingredients to whip up this strawberry glaze. Make some ahead of time and have it on hand for whenever the cravings for a fruity dessert strike!
    • It's made completely from scratch. This means you know exactly what ingredients are going into your glaze. You can also customize the sweetness to your liking - make it as sweet or tart as you prefer - or stick to the original recipe for the perfect balance.

    Storing Strawberry Glaze

This glaze for strawberries lasts well in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. Be sure to give it a good stir to recombine before using it again.

If you want to freeze your strawberry glaze, always check the packaging of the frozen strawberries you use. Some brands are not suitable for refreezing once thawed. If it’s safe to refreeze, place the glaze in a freezer-safe container and store it for up to 3 months. Thaw in the refrigerator before using.
