The flavor of this salad dressing is out of this world. The combination of honey and the balsamic vinegar is surprising and complimentary in a delicious way.

    How to Make Balsamic Vinaigrette

    • Olive oil
    • Balsamic vinegar
    • Honey
    • Shallot
    • Garlic clove
    • Dijon mustard
    • Salt
    • Pepper

This salad dressing calls for a shallot, but if you don't have one just use about 2 tablespoons of chopped onion.

What kind of balsamic vinegar should I use?

I used honey balsamic vinegar in this salad dressing, but of course, you can use regular balsamic vinegar. The most important thing is to use a high-quality balsamic vinegar.

Since balsamic vinegar is the star of the show in balsamic vinaigrette dressing, you will really taste it and the quality will come through.

Spoon with balsamic vinaigrette on it next to winter salad ingredients.

What to Serve with Balsamic Salad Dressing

This salad dressing goes well on any salad but is extra wonderful with a spinach salad and especially with goat cheese.

It also pairs well with fruit and meat! In a salad or even just as a marinade. You really can't go wrong with this balsamic vinaigrette recipe.
