What is ranch dressing?

For some, ranch isn’t just a dressing; it is a lifestyle choice! But seriously, so many people have some ranch in their fridge and use it on everything from salads to pizza. But what is ranch dressing? Ranch dressing is a creamy buttermilk, sour cream, or mayonnaise-based dressing that is typically infused with seasonings dill, parsley, and garlic.

Originally invented in the 1950s by a man named Steve Henson, this creamy, tangy dressing has since become a household staple. Thank you, Steve!

How long does yogurt ranch dressing last?

Greek yogurt ranch dressing will last in the fridge, in an air-tight container, up until the use-by date as shown on your ingredients. For example, if you use milk that is close to its expiry date, the dressing will only last to around then. So really, how long my yogurt ranch dressing lasts really depends on how fresh your ingredients are!

What goes well with greek yogurt ranch dressing?

This yogurt ranch dressing is delicious on so many things. I love to use it as an alternative ranch dressing for my chopped steak salad, but it is also excellent as a dip for raw veggies or chips. You can even use it as a spread on sandwiches and wraps! Yogurt ranch dressing also tastes brilliant with my crispy baked chicken thighs, and when paired with some sweet potato fries, it’s just mouth-watering good.
