    Instructions For Easy Garlic Sauce

    1. Melt butter in a saucepan.
    2. Add the garlic, crushed red pepper, and salt.
    3. Let cook for 30 more seconds.
    4. Once the butter is cooled, add the parsley and parmesan.

Variations For Garlic Butter Dipping Sauce

You can mix up the flavor of this sauce to suit whatever you're serving it with. So long as the base recipe of butter, garlic, and red pepper flakes stays the same, here are a few ideas for more variations:

    • Add some Italian herbs and parmesan for an Italian-style garlic butter sauce
    • Up the spice level by adding sriracha or Tobasco sauce
    • Stir in fresh cilantro and serve it with naan
    • Make a citrus garlic butter dipping sauce by adding some lime juice or lemon juice to the recipe
    • Use a roasted garlic bulb to add a nutty, sweet flavor to your dipping sauce
    • Mix in some onion powder, black pepper, and smoked paprika for a smoky garlic dip
    • Make an even richer garlic butter sauce by adding a few tablespoons of cream cheese or sour cream
    • Add a sprinkling of brown sugar, ginger, soy sauce, and rice wine vinegar to compliment Asian-style dishes

You can also adjust the intensity of the base sauce to suit your tastes. If you want a subtle garlic flavor, simply use less garlic, and vice versa for you garlic lovers.

How to Serve Garlic Dipping Sauce

You really can't go wrong with this creamy garlic sauce. Aside from dipping breadsticks and for homemade pizza night, here are a few more suggestions:

    • Serve it with oven-baked chicken wings
    • Drizzle it over roasted vegetables and potatoes
    • Serve over baked potatoes
    • Use it as a dip for nuggets, fish sticks, or french fries
    • Over the top of a chicken shawarma
    • Mix some garlic butter sauce into your steakhouse mashed potatoes
    • Dip pita bread, pretzel bites, or naan
    • Stir through pasta to create an instant, creamy pasta sauce
    • Smother over steak like you would steak herb butter
    • Pour on chicken or fish before grilling
    • Put some in a bowl for dunking vegetables, like celery and carrots
    • Make garlic shrimp: sauté your shrimp in the sauce for a delicious dinner!

And these ideas are just touching the surface – the possibilities are truly endless!

How long is garlic butter dipping sauce good for?

When stored in an airtight container, this sauce will keep in the fridge for up to two weeks. The butter will resolidify once it cools, so you will need to warm it up again before serving. Reheat the sauce in the microwave for a few seconds or on low heat over the stove.

Can you freeze garlic dipping sauce?

Butter freezes very well, meaning this sauce can also be frozen successfully. After making the sauce, let it cool to room temperature before pouring it into a freezer-safe container. Label and date the container and place it in the freezer. Your buttery garlic sauced will last for up to 6 months in the freezer.

There's no need to thaw the sauce before using it – just warm it up in the microwave or on low heat on the stovetop. You could even portion your creamy sauce into ice cube trays before freezing, so you always have perfectly-sized portions ready!

Can you use garlic granules in this recipe?

You should use only fresh garlic cloves or garlic powder when making my easy sauce recipes. Garlic granules don't dissolve into the sauce very well and can leave an unpleasant texture.
