If you’re looking to recreate that tangy, sweet taste of Chick Fil A Lemonade at home, this recipe is for you! Super simple and super delicious.

With this Chick Fil A lemonade recipe you can have your fill of delicious sweet and tangy juice and enjoy as many refills as you want. Even better, you can use your own cup of choice (something restaurants never let you do).

You also won’t be kicked out of the home for walking around barefoot while enjoying your cold glass of lemonade. No shoes no service doesn’t apply in the comfort of your own home, which adds to the allure of making your own drinks.

This Chick Fil A lemonade recipe is very simple and easy to make, just like the kind you get from their restaurants. We’re keeping it simple and minimal just like them, I mean what good is a copycat recipe is you don’t try to copy the original recipe? 😉

Fun Fact: Chick Fil A makes its lemonade fresh daily at each location. Using fresh squeezed lemons, sugar, and water to create their famous lemonade, you can only wonder how many lemons they go through in a week!

This is also a large reason behind why the lemonade at Chick Fil A is so expensive. A gallon of lemonade can cost almost $10! But we can make it at home for a fraction of that cost if we’re willing to put in a little work.

Thankfully we don’t need nearly as many lemons because we aren’t serving a city of thirsty folks, just you and your family, right?

To get 1 ½ cups of lemon juice out of a freshly squeezed lemon, you’ll need about 6-8 larger lemons, but there’s also a tip to get more juice out of each fruit.

Stick them in the microwave for about 10-30 seconds and then roll it on the counter under the pressure of the palm of your hand before opening the lemon to juice it.

How to make Chick Fil A lemonade

  • In a large pitcher, whisk together all of the ingredients until the sugar is dissolved.
  • Chill until you’re ready to serve.

How long is homemade lemonade good for?

Fresh lemonade is good for about a week in the fridge. Getting your delicious lemonade to last that long would be a real challenge though because once you have a glass it’s hard not to come back for another. It’s so good!

Can I use bottled lemon juice instead?

Yes, if you don’t have any lemons on hand or they aren’t in season, you can always grab a large bottle of lemon juice from the store and use that instead.

I don’t recommend using bottled lemon juice though, it’s much tastier to juice your own lemons and make it fresh!

How do you make pink lemonade from scratch?

Pink lemonade is made using fresh berries and a similar method for making lemonade like this one I’ve shared here. You can make Strawberry Lemonade or Raspberry Lemonade, both will be pink!

Go the extra step and used crushed ice. Refrigerate until ice cold pour over crushed ice and enjoy!
At my Grandparents burger place, the ‘Dairy Mart’, we would sell 8-10 gallon pitchers of homemade lemonade on a summer day. We stored them in our ice machine buried in that crushed ice. Grandma made us bleach clean those pitchers, so we had no cross contamination. Best lemonade ever!

[…] Making homemade mint lemonade is even easier than you may think. I am a big fan of simple recipes (if you couldn’t tell already) and I also truly love lemonades. We already have several lemonade recipes available on this site like my Strawberry Lemonade and my Chick Fil A Lemonade Recipe. […]
