Raspberries are such a fun berry to bake with. Their flavor is sweet yet slightly tart, and the color adds a pop of vibrancy to any dish. And my raspberry cream cheese danish is the perfect way to show off this delicious berry! The cream cheese layer helps balance the sweetness of the raspberries and adds some creamy richness to each bite.

Not to mention, the process of making a raspberry danish is surprisingly simple! My raspberry danish recipe uses store-bought puff pastry, so you can have it prepped and ready in no time. Then once baked, these cream cheese raspberry danish look like gorgeous golden pastry crowns – filled with so much amazing raspberry flavor! Honestly, this recipe is a winner every single time.

Why You’ll Love This Raspberry Danish Recipe

  • Fabulous flavor combinations. Aside from the wonderful raspberry cream cheese combo, we add some orange juice to the filling. The orange adds a hint of zesty flavor that compliments the raspberries’ sweetness just perfectly!
  • Easy to make! A delicious breakfast, dessert, or treat in just 20 minutes? Yes, please!
  • It’s perfect for entertaining. This raspberry cream cheese danish is sure to please your family and friends with its mouthwatering flavor and presentation. And to really create the wow factor, why not make a raspberry cream cheese danish braid? This is exactly what I did in my apple danish recipe – can you say yum?!

What is the best way to store a raspberry danish?

If you aren’t going to eat all your cream cheese raspberry danishes on the same day, it’s best to refrigerate the leftovers. The raspberry danish will last about 4 days in the refrigerator when stored in an airtight container.

Can I freeze a raspberry cream cheese danish?

Yes! You can make a few raspberry cream cheese danishes and store them in the freezer for up to 3 months. Before eating, be sure to allow them to thaw in the refrigerator! And if you want to heat them up, just pop them in the oven for a few minutes. Alternatively, you can microwave them for a couple of seconds – just be careful, as the jam can get hot quickly!

How should I serve a raspberry danish?

For a decadent breakfast treat, serve this raspberry danish with a generous dollop of whipped cream and some fresh raspberries on the side. Don’t forget a pitcher of orange juice or your favorite hot beverage!

Or, for a classic dessert, serve up this raspberry cream cheese danish with a scoop of your favorite ice cream. Some other yummy ideas would be to sprinkle over some icing sugar or drizzle over some glazed icing and orange zest – whatever takes your fancy!

What other fruits work well in this raspberry danish recipe?

Oh, the possibilities! This raspberry danish recipe would be delicious with apples, blueberries, peaches, or even a mix of berries. You can really get creative with this recipe! Check out my cherry danish, strawberry danish, or blueberry cheese danish recipes for even more inspiration!

Can I make homemade puff pastry for this cream cheese raspberry danish recipe?

If you have the time, then definitely! Making your own puff pastry involves a lot of folding and repeating, but it can be so worth the effort. If you’re feeling extra adventurous and want to try making your own jam too, my homemade freezer jam recipe is so easy and requires no cooking!

Are there any alternatives to cream cheese for this raspberry danish?

Yes, you can use ricotta or mascarpone cheese as a substitute for the cream cheese in this recipe. Alternatively, you can also just add more jam to your raspberry danish and omit the cream cheese altogether – it still packs a lot of flavor but won’t have that creamy texture!
