Sometimes I struggle to come up with a quick lunch or a savory appetizer, but these easy ham roll ups solve both of those problems! These wraps take only minutes to throw together and are kid and adult friendly. Annnnnd I bet you have all the ingredients on hand!

I love making a couple of these for a quick lunch. I make them a little ahead of time, usually a few minutes before the kids wake up from their naps. They get better if you can let them sit in the fridge for a few minutes and it helps keep them wrapped up tight when the plastic wrap is removed.

Ham and Cheese Wrap

If you want to serve these for a tasty appetizer, I prepare them the morning before I need them, wrap them up tight in plastic wrap, and then leave them in the fridge until I need them! I slice them right before serving so the green color from the arugula doesn’t bleed into the tortilla.

I used a mix of baby arugula and a few spring greens. Arugula is my favorite in simple recipes like this! It adds an extra layer of flavor and dimension and elevates a regular wrap. If you can’t find arugula at your local store, you can probably find it at your local farmer’s market. It’s worth the trip!

If you can’t find it there, just grow it! The seeds are readily available from any garden nursery and growing it could not be easier. Plant it in the ground or in a container and keep it in a cool, shady spot. Easy!

Let me know how you “elevate” your lunch or favorite appetizers!
