Buffalo ranch dressing is creamy and delicious with a hint of spice! It’s easy to make and great on almost any salad.

Buffalo ranch dressing is a creamy salad dressing that leaves a little heat in your mouth without making you feel like you just swallowed fire. Adding it over the top of a crisp, cool and fresh green salad is the perfect combination for a nice summer salad.

Making your own salad dressings is a great way to take control of the ingredients and make a common condiment your own.

When you know how to make ranch dressing, you can adjust the seasonings and ingredients to your preference and make them as healthy or flavorful as you want!

If you find yourself with an allergy or strict diet, I’m sure you’ve experienced a few let downs as you discover foods you can’t or shouldn’t eat.

With a simple ranch salad dressing like this, you can make a few adaptions to get the buffalo ranch dressing to better conform to you instead of the other way around.

So grab your veggies for dipping, or pile your green salad high and enjoy your buffalo ranch dressing with a smile.

Don’t forget you can eat it with other things too like a southwestern flavored wrap, spread on a burger, or even use it for dipping your fries into! So many possibilities coming from this one simple homemade dressing recipe.

How to Make Buffalo Ranch Dressing

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together all of the ingredients, except for the milk.
  • Pour in enough milk to get the consistency to what you would like.
  • Add in the hot sauce and mix.
  • Taste the dressing and adjust the salt and pepper to your preference.
  • Transfer to a storage container like a mason jar with a lid.

Note that you can add in any flavor or heat level hot sauce that you want. I recommend using whatever hot sauce you already know and love.

How long does homemade buffalo ranch dressing last?

If properly stored inside of your fridge, you can expect your dressing to last about a week, if not longer. Keep your dressing in a sealed container for maximum freshness.

You want the container to be something easy enough to open that you can access your dressing whenever you want but to also have a large enough opening to be able to spoon it out when you need it.

I personally use a mason jar with a cute pour spout to make life easier. You can get your own pour spout here.

You can also choose to not use a pour spout and to simply keep the lid and ring on the mason jar and spoon out your dressing as needed.

How can I make this buffalo ranch dressing healthier?

Switch the milk for a low-fat milk variety and use a better brand or type of mayonnaise such as avocado oil-based. Then substitute the sour cream for plain greek yogurt.

The recipe may not taste exactly the same, but it will be much healthier than the original recipe and should still taste good.
