🥗Avocado lime ranch dressing works beautifully as a salad dressing, veggie dip, sandwich spread, or drizzle for tacos and bowls!
My 2 Best Tips For Making Avocado Lime Ranch Dressing
Avocado Selection: Choose avocados that are perfectly ripe but not overripe for the best texture and flavor. They should yield slightly to gentle pressure but not be mushy or have dark spots. If your avocado is too firm, it won't blend smoothly and may leave lumps in your dressing. Overripe avocados can make the dressing taste slightly off and may cause it to separate more quickly.
Herb Preparation: Wash and thoroughly dry your fresh herbs before chopping to prevent excess water from thinning your dressing. Pat them dry with paper towels or use a salad spinner for best results. Chop the herbs finely and evenly to distribute their flavor throughout the dressing.

I always warm my limes in the microwave for 10-15 seconds before juicing to get nearly double the amount of juice. The heat breaks down the cell walls, making it much easier to extract every drop of that zesty lime flavor.
Then I'll whisk all ingredients except the milk first to ensure even seasoning distribution and prevent lumps. Once everything is well combines, I start to add my milk one tablespoon at a time. You don't want to over-thin your dressing. It's much harder to fix it!
You might want it thinner for salads, while for dipping vegetables, a thicker consistency works better. This flexibility means one recipe can serve multiple purposes in your kitchen.
You can enjoy this dressing straight from the spoon like a creamy dip! I love pairing it with fresh vegetables or spreading it thick on sandwiches and wraps for an extra flavor boost.

Recipe FAQs
If your dressing is too thick, gradually whisk in more milk, one tablespoon at a time, until you reach the desired consistency. If it's too thin, you can add a bit more sour cream or mashed avocado to thicken it up. Always add liquids slowly to avoid over-thinning.
Yes, Greek yogurt makes an excellent substitute for sour cream and adds extra protein. Use the same amount and expect a slightly tangier flavor. Plain Greek yogurt works best - avoid flavored varieties that could interfere with the ranch taste.
Yes, the best way to get a nice, smooth, avocado lime ranch dressing is to blend all the ingredients in a blender. Put all your ingredients, except the milk, to the blender (or food processor!) and blend until smooth. Then, add enough milk to get the consistency you like and blend again. Finally, season with salt and pepper to taste.

Wanted to make the Avocado Lime Ranch Dressing, however I didn't see any amount of lime juice listed under ingredients.

Thanks for letting me know, the recipe has been fixed! It's juice from 1 lime (or a little more if you love the extra citrus flavor).
