    Garden Hand Tools

First up on my list are garden hand tools. These are essential for any gardener and are ideal for smaller jobs like planting, weeding, and pruning. Whether you have a large garden to tend to or a small herb garden, you need these garden hand tools in your kit!

    Trowel

One of the best garden tools you can have is a trowel. The pointed stainless steel trowel head is ideal for digging small holes, removing weeds, and more! I love this Ames trowel, as it has a nice cushioned grip and is perfect for jobs of all sizes.

    Hand Rake

My hand rake is probably one of my most used garden hand tools. Again it has a gel-cushioned handle for comfortable use, and its design is perfect for breaking up mounds of dirt and removing weeds.

    Dibbler

My dibbler pokes holes in the soil quickly and evenly, allowing me to plant seeds in no time. It is also perfect for aerating soil or creating deep water holes (great if you live somewhere hot!)

    Bulb Hand Planter

While the dibbler is suitable for planting seeds - it doesn't create holes large enough for bulbs. You'll want to invest in a bulb hand planter for this job. This one has a depth marker to make sure your bulbs are planted at the proper depth.

    Garden Tools Set

To cut the hassle out of finding the best garden hand tools - this garden tools set covers all the basics. It comes with my favorite trowel and rake but also a super handy weeder, cultivator, and more! Seriously, this garden tools set is not just a fantastic addition to your gardening arsenal - but also a great gift for any gardener.

    Garden Weeding Tools

Weeds: the pesky plants that can take over your garden in no time if not tackled from the start. Thankfully, there are some great garden weeding tools to help get the job done! These garden weeding tools are not just my favorite but also durable and superbly designed.

    Steel Shovel

Arguably one of the best garden tools, a steel shovel makes light work of garden tasks. Whether you're turning over soil, digging holes, or transporting plants - this steel shovel will help you get the job done quickly.

    Rake

When the handheld rake just won't cut it, you need something bigger. Not just garden weeding tools, rakes are essential for leveling soil or preparing planting beds. I love this steel leaf rake as it has a wide head for quick and efficient work.

    Hoe Garden Tool

A hoe garden tool is perfect for getting rid of weeds and aerating soil. I love this hoe garden tool as it is lightweight and comfortable to use, and its sharp blade makes short work of weeds and dirt. Not to mention, the fiberglass handle is super durable, so I know it will last me a long time to come!

    Saw-Tooth Badger Edger

After you're done weeding, you'll want to create a neat and tidy look to your garden - enter the saw-tooth badger edger. This badger edger is perfect for edging and trimming soil, keeping your garden looking neat and manicured. Plus, it cuts both straight and curved edges!

    Garden Tools Organization

Keeping your garden tools in great condition is key to ensuring they last. Now, I'm not saying you have to have an entire garden tool organization system - but investing in some great storage solutions is definitely a must. This way, you can ensure your garden tools are always in excellent condition and ready for your next gardening task!

    Garden Tool Organizer

This Rubbermaid garden tool organizer is such a good storage solution. Not only does it keep your tools in one place, but it also helps you keep them organized for easy access. This garden tool organizer easily fits up to 40 tools and has wheels - which saves me from going back and forth to get the right tool.

    Garden Tool Rack

If you have specific items, like garden weeding tools, that you usually only use in one spot - get a garden tool rack! This way, you can quickly grab what you need from this garden tool rack without digging through storage.

    Gardening Seat

A mix between a garden tool and garden tools organization - this item is not just a seat but can also store your tools! The flip-up seat also doubles as a handle, allowing you to transport tools, plants, and soil around the garden. And did I mention it has a cup holder too?!

    Garden Tool Belt

Essential for tool organization on the go - a garden tool belt is ideal for carrying your tools around the garden with you. The pockets are spacious and will easily fit whatever garden tools you need - it even has a zipper pocket for your phone or other small items!

    Gardening Clothing

As far as I'm concerned, you can wear whatever you like when gardening. But these items have to be some of my favorite garden tools. They help provide a comfortable and enjoyable gardening experience, even when I'm out in the sun for hours!

    Neoprene Gloves

My go-to gardening gloves are a pair of neoprene gloves. Not only are they super comfortable and lightweight, but they provide great protection against prickles and thorns. Also, neoprene is super insulating and water resistant - they keep my hands warm and dry, even in the rain!

    Kneeling Pad

Not all garden tools are made of metal or plastic - some are made with comfort in mind. This kneeler pad is a must for those times when I need to get up close to my plants. The soft foam cushioning helps protect my knees while I work - no more sore knees after gardening for me!

    Sun Hat

When I'm outside for long hours, I have to wear my wide-brimmed sun hat. Not only does it help protect my face from the sun's rays, but it is super cute too!

    Sloggers

A heavy-wearing, practical shoe is a must for gardeners - and Sloggers provide just that. I love that I can just hose them off after I'm done gardening, and they look brand new again. Plus, the insoles are beyond comfortable, even after hours of gardening!

    Fertilizer

Garden tools are great, but without the right fertilizer, your plants won't get the nutrients they need to stay healthy and strong. Probably one of the most underrated but best garden tools - you won't catch me gardening without a good fertilizer!

I use two different kinds, depending on the job I am doing. A good water-soluble fertilizer helps my plants get the nutrients they need whenever I water them - providing beautiful blooms in no time. And slow-release fertilizer helps keep my plants fed all season long by giving them the nitrogen and other essential minerals they need to grow.

Seriously, when looking for the best garden tools - don't sleep on the fertilizer!

    Watering

Watering your plants is one of the most critical steps to a successful garden, so having a good watering system is key. A drip watering system is the best way to get deep and even water directly to the roots of your plants. It's also ideal for those who need a system that can keep their plants watered for long periods of time.

Even if you don't want to learn how to install drip irrigation, you must have garden tools to help you with your watering.

    Watering Can

A classic garden tool and an essential item for watering your plants - a watering can! This one is easy to hold and gets the job done exactly the way you want it.

Gardener's Lifetime 4-Pattern Pistol Hose Nozzle

The all-metal design of this hose nozzle is perfect for gardeners who want to get their watering done with pinpoint accuracy. I love that it has 4 different settings, allowing me to customize my watering for each individual plant's needs.

    Hose Timer

For those who want an automated way to water their plants, this hose timer could be the perfect garden tool for you. This one is programmable and can be set to water your plants at specific times during the day. I especially love utilizing this garden tool during the summer when it gets hot and dry.

    Hoses and Storage

There is nothing I hate more than a hose that kinks and not having anywhere to store it. This is why I have listed these items as some of my favorite garden tools - because I am sure some of you feel the same way!

    No Kink Hose

A solid no-kink hose is a must for any gardener. Not only will it make your life easier, but you won't have to worry about it kinking up and cutting your water supply mid-watering. This one is also nice and long (100ft!) and easily stored away when not in use.

    Classic Copper Hose Pot

Could a garden hose look any more stylish? One of the best garden tools for both its practicality and style, a hose pot is my favorite way to store my hose. Not to mention, the copper color is just gorgeous!

    Hose Repair Kit

Any avid gardener will know how annoying it is when the fittings on your hose come loose or break. A hose repair kit is a must in my garden tool organizer - it helps to keep my hose going strong for years to come!

    Buckets and Planters

I use these buckets and planters when weeding, harvesting, and, of course, for planting! Some of the best garden tools are the most overlooked - so don't forget to add a couple of these to your garden tool kit.

    Grow Bags

Grow bags are a great way to help your plants thrive - and have to be some of the best garden tools. You can use grow bags as a planter if you have limited space or to transport plants and soil. They are ultra-durable and also offer excellent drainage, which is important to avoid root rot.

    Weed Bucket

Alongside your garden weeding tools - you need a bucket to put all the weeds in! Using a weed bucket like this means I can clear my garden quickly and easily - without having to make multiple trips back and forth.

    Garden Bag

A garden bag is the best garden tool for keeping your garden clean while you work. I throw leaves, grass, and clippings into this bag as I work - making for a much less cluttered garden space!

No matter what type of gardening you do, having the necessary garden tools is essential. With my collection of the best garden tools, you will be able to make your workload much easier - and your garden much more beautiful!
