Notes
Caramel Quality: Fresh individually wrapped caramels are essential for smooth melting. Stale or old caramels become extremely difficult to work with once heated.White Coating Choice: Almond bark melts more smoothly and spreads better than white chocolate, though both options work well depending on your preference and availability.Temperature Maintenance: Keep melted caramel and toppings warm in a water bath by placing bowls in a large dish with hot tap water. This prevents hardening during decorating session.Serving Timeline: Plan to serve these treats within a few hours of making them. Cut apples release moisture that causes caramel to slip off, making overnight storage ineffective.
