Notes
Make-Ahead Tip: Form the patties up to 24 hours in advance and store them separated by parchment paper in the refrigerator.Beef Seasoning: Instead of salt and pepper, you can season the burgers with your favorite beef seasoning. Leftover Ideas: Extra jalapeño popper spread makes an excellent dip for tortilla chips or vegetable sticks. Use it as a sandwich spread for deli meats or grilled chicken.Ingredient Swaps:
Greek yogurt can replace half the mayonnaise for a lighter version with tangy flavor.
Fresh lime juice is preferred, but bottled works in a pinch.
Poblano peppers create a milder, smokier flavor than jalapeños.
Garlic powder works if fresh garlic isn't available, using ¼ teaspoon instead.
