This easy recipe for chocolate peanut butter pie is the perfect blend of two amazing flavors that everyone loves. The creamy filling sits in a cookie crust and combines smooth peanut butter with rich chocolate, topped with swirls of whipped cream.

Ingredients
  

  • 8 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup cream (beat until stiff, (or 8 ounces Cool Whip topping, if that's how you roll))
  • 1 prepared chocolate cookie crust ((or a homemade chocolate crust))
  • Hershey's chocolate bar for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Combine all the ingredients apart from the cream and beat them together.
  • Gently fold in half of the whipped cream or Cool Whip and add it to your pie crust.
  • Garnish with shaved or grated chocolate.For an elegant finish, use a vegetable peeler to create chocolate curls from the Hershey's bar.
  • Cover and freeze for at least 2 hours then slice and serve directly from the freezer.

Notes

  • For a firmer crust, chill it in the freezer for 10-15 minutes before adding the filling. This prevents crumbling when slicing.
  • If topping with homemade whipped cream, add a bit of powdered sugar or cornstarch to help it hold its shape longer.
  • Add a layer of crushed peanuts, caramel, or chocolate ganache between the crust and filling for an extra layer of flavor and crunch.
  • Store this pie in the fridge for up to 5 days, but keep it away from strong-smelling foods since the creamy filling can absorb other flavors.
