Easy Oven Brisket Recipe
Melissa Griffiths
Most people think brisket is intimidating, but this Oven Brisket Recipe proves that creating melt-in-your-mouth tender beef is actually one of the easiest things you can make!
Place brisket in a large roasting tray (disposable ones work great).
Add broth, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce around the brisket.
Sprinkle the herbs and spices on and around the brisket. Cover with foil.
Roast for 4-6 hours, about 1 hour and 20 minutes per pound or until the internal temperature reaches 195-200° F. Leave the foil on for the entire roasting period.
Remove from the oven and let rest, covered with foil still, for about 10 minutes.
Cut into slices (against the grain) or shred.
Notes
Scaling for Smaller Portions: If you want to make a smaller brisket, you can cut it in half and keep all the other measurements the same. High-Heat Searing Option: Some people start the brisket at a high temperature (400°F for 15-20 minutes) to develop a crust and then reduce it to 275°F for the rest of the cook.Overnight Marinating Method: You can marinate your brisket overnight or even inject it with a brine or beef broth to enhance the juiciness and tenderness.Dry Rub Variations: A simple dry rub of salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder works wonders. Add other spices like paprika, brown sugar, chili powder, or cumin for a deeper flavor.
