I made this again this morning and I chopped the apples smaller and I sautéed them in water as I eat vegan. Came out great. Another fine breakfast for a few days.

Came out great. A few of the apples were a little hard but still very good. I’m going to make it again and chop the apples a little smaller.

I used my 6qt. And it never pressurized either because of burn notice. I cut my apples the same size as hers and they never got very tender. I transfered to a pot to try to boil but the flavor was nothing great. If people need to use the pot in pot method for it to work, then I wouldn't give the instructions another way.

I’ve tried to make this in our 6 quart Instantpot a couple times- it never pressurizes, and I get the “Food Burn” warning. I also had a layer of oatmeal caked on the bottom of the pot. It tastes okay, but I wasn’t wowed. It might be good to have more specifics in the recipe. Should I stir the ingredients? Should the setting for oatmeal be on high, medium? Or low?- our instantpot still has those options, even for the porridge/oatmeal setting. Not sure why this one recipe doesn’t work for our pot 🙁
