Instructions
Combine rice, water, and salt in a medium saucepan on the stovetop. Don't mix the rice and water very much (see note).
Bring the mixture to a boil, reduce heat to simmer and cover.
Simmer covered for 15-20 minutes, or until the majority of the liquid is absorbed by the rice.
Let stand 5 minutes.

For very sticky rice, stir the rice and water before cooking. For minimal stickiness, rinse the rise in a fine mesh strainer before cooking.
