Combine all of the ingreidnets into the Instant Pot or pressure cooker.
Place the lid on the Instant Pot with the vent in the sealing position.
Cook on manual high pressure for 17 minutes.
Natural pressure release for at least 10 minutes. Otherwise the soup will come out of the vent on the Instant Pot (very dangerous!)
Remove the ham hock, trim ham, and add back into the soup. If you're using pre-cooked chopped ham, add it in now, stir, and let warm through.

If you're using a ham hock, add it at the beginning and pressure cook it with the remaining ingredients. In the video here, I did not use a ham hock or chopped ham because it has been difficult to find in my area! I highly recommend using it though.If you cannot find a ham hock, use diced ham that is already cooked and add it at the end. If you pressure cook the diced ham, it will just dissolve into the soup.
