Basic Instant Pot Oatmeal
Instant pot oatmeal is a healthy and quick breakfast you can make for your family! Customize this basic version anyway you like.

Servings 4 people
- 3 1/2 cups water
- 2 cups oats old-fashioned, NOT quick
- 1 pinch salt
Combine ingredients in the Instant Pot.
Press porridge mode and set for 3 minutes. Make sure vent is in "sealing" position (see note).
When the Instant Pot beeps, carefully move the vent to the "venting" position. I use the handle of a wooden spoon to avoid burns.

The Instant Pot will take a few minutes to pressurize and de-pressurize, you don't need to push anything to make this happen. It will happen automatically. I manually vent (as described in the recipe) to speed up the process.
