  • 1 pound bacon thinly sliced
  • 1 sleeve crackers club-style
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder optional, see notes

  1. Preheat the oven to 250 degrees. Line a sheet tray with foil and place a wire, oven-safe, cooling rack on it.

  2. Cut all the bacon strips in half. This is most easily done by slicing the entire package in half before removing the bacon.

  3. Lightly stretch out the bacon and wrap it around a cracker.

  4. Place the cracker on the wire rack set over the baking tray.

  5. Place about 1 teaspoon of brown sugar on each bacon wrapped cracker.

  6. Sprinkle the tops with chili powder, if desired.

  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 2 hours until the bacon is cooked.

  8. Broil on high for 3-5 minutes (watch closely so it doesn't burn!) until the brown sugar is caramelized and crispy on top.

Recipe Notes

Chili powder is optional if you like more spice use cayenne pepper.
