  • 1 pound bacon thinly sliced
  • 1 sleeve crackers club-style
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder optional, see notes

  • Preheat the oven to 250 degrees. Line a sheet tray with foil and place a wire, oven-safe, cooling rack on it.
  • Cut all the bacon strips in half. This is most easily done by slicing the entire package in half before removing the bacon.
  • Lightly stretch out the bacon and wrap it around a cracker.
  • Place the cracker on the wire rack set over the baking tray.
  • Place about 1 teaspoon of brown sugar on each bacon wrapped cracker.
  • Sprinkle the tops with chili powder, if desired.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 2 hours until the bacon is cooked.
  • Broil on high for 3-5 minutes (watch closely so it doesn't burn!) until the brown sugar is caramelized and crispy on top.

Chili powder is optional if you like more spice use cayenne pepper.
