Homemade Berry Pie
Homemade berry pie is a classic all year round no matter the occasion. It's a perfect balance of sweet and tart and packed with berry flavor!

Ingredients

pie crusts

mixed berries

instant tapioca

tablespoon
orange zest

pinch
salt

butter
cold, cubed
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400ºF.
Place half of the berries (2 1/2 cups) in a small saucepan and reduce over medium heat for about 8 minutes.
Combine reduced berries with the rest of the frozen berries, sugar, tapioca, zest, and salt.
Place one of the pie crusts in the bottom of a pie plate.
Pour berry filling into the pie plate. Scatter butter over the top.
Cut vents of any shape into the top of the second pie crust. Place on top of the pie. Trim and crimp edges.
Bake at 400ºF for 25 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 350ºF and bake for an additional 30 minutes.
Let cool completely before serving.
