Place eggs in a single layer on the bottom of a large pot.
Add water until the eggs are covered by one inch. This is usually about 8 cups in my pot, but the amount will vary depending on the size of your eggs and pot.
Add the vinegar.
Place the pot on the stovetop and bring to a rolling boil.
Turn off heat and let sit, covered, for 10 minutes.
Place eggs in an ice bath to stop the cooking process.
