Hi Deborah, I've made this recipe many times and I know the measurements and instructions are correct. I'm happy to help you troubleshoot. The cookies are meant to be a soft and chewy cookie.

I usually make up my own recipes, but this one for such rave reviews I decided to try it. Following the ingredients listed to a tee, my couch was like sand. I added an extra egg yolk and a few table spoons extra of milk. Soft dough but they dn bake well. Heave doughy cookies. Believe there is a cup too much of flour in the ingredient list.
