Some people say that my generation doesn’t know how to talk on the phone because we basically grew up texting.
While that may be partly true, I have to personally disagree.
I have always hated talking on the phone.
My mom used to force me to call about various things to try and help me get over my irrational dislike of the phone. It didn’t really work. Mega potty-tummy every time!!
I am much better at speaking on the phone now. I don’t hesitate to call the doctors office or power company and I feel like I am very professional and polite.
But there is one thing that still gets me every time. This is especially true with my job. I just hate calling when an email would suffice.
The introvert in me sees a call like that as so completely unnecessary that most often I procrastinate making the call and it truly bothers me.
It’s so silly. But it’s so true.
Tell me I’m not alone. Anyone else?!?
