On Saturday I decided to work outside even though it was raining all day. So off I went to the store to buy some more plants and dirt for the garden. Andy was really excited about loading up 30 bags of dirt in the rain. But that’s why he is so awesome, because even when he isn’t excited about something I need him to do, he does it anyways. What a guy. I am trying to finish my garden and make that area back there a beautiful flower garden as well.
I love how my flower boxes turned out this year. They are under the porch and pretty shaded so we will see how long the pansies last. Turtle likes them too.
My pretty hens are super weeders. Mallow is probably the weed I hate most. But the hens take care of it!
I planted some pretty roses that were 50% off! Those are the kind of deals you can score when you shop for flowers in the pouring rain. #worthit
I bought this columbine a few weeks ago and I really love it. I have a shady spot by my garden that I think it will be great in.
These lichens are everywhere and also super awesome. I’m pretty certain whoever build these buildings didn’t use pressure treated lumber and didn’t waterproof anything. Hence all the beautiful creatures that grown uninhibited on them. I just choose to block the other less beautiful consequences of their poor judgement when building these outbuildings from my mind.
Garden progress. Maybe someday it will stop raining and I will be able to bring Abe outside with me and work on it some more.
I found these awesome old pails in the attic of our barn. There have been a few awesome treasures up there. I also found about 12 doorknobs in their original boxes from about 1910. Pristine condition. Andy can’t figure out why I am so excited about them. Someday, I will use them in my house. Not this house. My real house. And then he will see 🙂
Our misty mountains. The song from “The Hobbit” plays in my head every time.
These are the only flowers on this entire bush. It really needs to be pulled out but these are just too cute right now. Maybe later.
