4 Easy Homemade Salad Dressing Recipes

4 Homemade Salad Dressing Recipes!

I am so excited to share these salad dressing recipes with you! I love homemade salad dressing, in fact I rarely purchase salad dressing. These four are my go-to dressings. They are all simple, easy, delicious, and the only equipmentΒ you need to make them is a bowl and a whisk, or a mason jar {even easier!}.Β Annnnnd I made my first recipe video! Let me know what you think.Β

First up in the homemade salad dressing lineup is aΒ balsamic honey vinaigrette. The flavor in this salad dressing is out of this world. The combination of honey and the balsamic vinegar is surprising and complimentary in a delicious way.

This salad dressing calls for a shallot, but if you don’t have one just use about 2 tablespoons on chopped onion πŸ™‚ . This salad dressing goes well on any salad, but is extra wonderful with a spinach salad with goat cheese.

4 Homemade Salad Dressing Recipes!

NextΒ is a in the homemade salad dressing lineup is the classic red wine vinaigrette. I make this same recipe and just sub out the red wine vinegar with white wine vinegar, lemon juice, or even sherry vinegar. Now, if you’re looking at this picture and thinking that salad dressing is way to light to have balsamic vinegar in it – I promise it does! I actually tried a honey balsamic vinegar {hence the lighter color} and it made the dressing even more wonderful.

4 Homemade Salad Dressing Recipes!

This salad dressing goes fantastic with a super basic salad: greens, onion, and any other veggies you’d like to add. It is such a versatile dressing that you can really use it on anything and it would be fantastic.

4 Homemade Salad Dressing Recipes!

Next in the homemade salad dressing lineup is a sweeter dressing, poppy seed salad dressing. This dressing is SO pretty. I love making it just because of the way it looks! This dressing is delicious on all salads, but especially salads that contain fruit and nuts.

4 Homemade Salad Dressing Recipes!

A key for all homemade salad dressings with an olive oil base is to purchase a good quality olive oil. Since you aren’t cooking these at all, you’ll really taste the flavor of the oil. Good quality olive oils are more fruity tasting and generally have a deeper color.

4 Homemade Salad Dressing Recipes!

Last up in our homemade salad dressing lineup is a creamy farmhouse dressing. I don’t know the technical name, but that is what I call it! I love this salad dressing because basically I love anything creamy. Ha. But seriously, life would be incomplete without creamy salad dressings!

4 Homemade Salad Dressing Recipes!

This dressing is a classic that goes well on a substantial salad that uses sturdy greens like romaine or iceberg lettuce. I love this on a chopped salad loaded with veggies. The flavor of this dressing is savory, creamy, and perfect!

4 Homemade Salad Dressing Recipes!

There you have it! 4 of the most delicious {and EASY!} salad dressing recipes ever. Salad should never be boring again! And don’t stress about having 45 million ingredients in your salads. For a basic salad, all you need is lettuce or spinach and sliced onion. All the other ingredients are just an added bonus πŸ™‚ .

Fun fact, I’ve typed “vinaigrette” about a million times while writing this and other recipes and I still can’t spell it. Thank heaven above for spell-check! It’s a weakness.
